Tiny Arts Supply doubles as a supply store and a hub for sliding-scale classes, open studios, and neighborhood makers markets.
Tiny Arts Supply is a community art project and supply store in Ridgewood, Queens, founded by Vanessa America. The shop stocks materials for special orders and runs sliding-scale classes in ceramics, cyanotype printing, oil painting, needle felting, and film developing, most with materials included. America also organizes a makers market for prints, textiles, and independent illustration from neighborhood artists, and runs a flea market out of the back room of nearby Gottscheer Hall. The through-line is access: keep the tools and the room open to people who wouldn't otherwise have either.
Fun Stuff is a free weekly newsletter about what's worth showing up for in Williamsburg and the surrounding creative neighborhoods.
