TAKK is an architecture and design studio in Brooklyn, NY. Founded by Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño, the practice creates immersive installations and spatial works that integrate ecological thinking with questions about human and non-human coexistence.
TAKK's work critically engages with the integration of ecological frameworks into architectural discourse and spatial production, aiming to develop new material and political imaginaries for the built environment. Founded by Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño, the Barcelona and New York studio questions how architecture shapes coexistence: between humans and non-humans, between fragile ecosystems and spaces of gathering. Their installations—foam domes wrapped in faux fur, six-meter sofas upholstered in pink, satellite sculptures, gardens dense with grow lights and aromatic plants—reject the Modernist hostility to ornament and pleasure. They use bright colors and engaging aesthetics in the hopes of coaxing people to stay a little longer with difficult questions about care, extraction, and how to live differently.
