Choplet Ceramic Studio opened in 2006 in Williamsburg to welcome a lively community working in a non-competitive environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. For nearly 20 years, the studio has fostered an inclusive, curious, and warm atmosphere surrounding ceramics and artistic growth in Williamsburg through its gallery and studio space and appointment-only ceramic center. The team recently opened a second location in Greenpoint in November 2025. The core philosophy is to nurture individual expression—students don't receive cookie-cutter assignments but instead work with instructors to develop their own original ideas and vision, with classes built around group demonstrations followed by individualized work. The studio also offers commissioned ceramic work services, specializing in custom-made items and small production works for designers starting line productions.
