Blank Forms is a nonprofit performance venue in Brooklyn, NY. Founded in 2016, it commissions experimental work and maintains archives of artists including Catherine Christer Hennix, Maryanne Amacher, and Loren Connors.

Blank Forms operates from conviction that experimental performance demands deep curatorial attention. Founded by Lawrence Kumpf in 2016, the nonprofit builds long-term collaborations with artists rather than programming one-off shows. Its archive holds the estates of Catherine Christer Hennix, Maryanne Amacher, and Loren Connors—artists whose practices might otherwise disappear. Blank Forms Editions publishes their work in books and recordings. The organization spent eight years in a small Clinton Hill space before this fall's move to a 8,000-square-foot loft at 151 Lafayette in SoHo, where performance, archives, gallery, bookstore, and bar finally share one roof. Kumpf traces his thinking back to downtown lofts of earlier decades, spaces where art, thought, and socializing happened together. He believes such places are rare now. He's trying to make one again.
