Sestry Feldman

Sestry Feldman is a collective of twin sisters working in Brooklyn, NY. They create paintings, installations, and public work combining graffiti and Ukrainian folk imagery to explore contemporary Ukrainian identity and collective memory.

Twin sisters Nicole and Mishel Feldman—Sestry Feldman—work across painting, installation, animation, and public space, developing narrative systems that move between street art and exhibition contexts. Their practice engages contemporary Ukrainian identity, collective memory, and how images circulate between civic space, digital culture, and lived experience. Working as self-taught artists, they combine graffiti, bold colors, and Ukrainian folk symbols to create politically charged work often conveying a message tied to Ukrainian cultural identity. A significant aspect of their practice is animation, including the series YoYo (2024-2025), which explores artificial intelligence as a structuring force within a fictional world where creativity functions as a site of resistance. Rather than focusing exclusively on conflict, they are interested in invisible systems: propaganda, collective memory, ideology, and how information shapes public consciousness.
