Lea Bertucci

Lea Bertucci is a composer and woodwind performer based in Brooklyn, NY. She creates site-specific installations and multichannel works that layer acoustic phenomena with speaker arrays, tape loops, and feedback to transform architectural spaces.

Lea Bertucci composes for spaces, not stages. She begins with acoustic phenomena—the shape of a room, the sustain in a flute, the resonance of the human voice. Then she surrounds these sounds with speaker arrays, tape loops, and feedback loops until the material itself becomes strange. Her practice spans woodwind performance, multichannel installation, and site-specific works that remake architecture from the inside out. She founded Cibachrome Editions in 2021 and frequently collaborates with other experimental musicians. Her work keeps returning to the same question: how do bodies move through sound, and how does sound move through bodies.
