Hetanshi Vakta

Hetanshi Vakta is a New York-based photographer whose subject is often architecture, street scenes, and the residue of travel. She's currently showing her first solo exhibition.

Hetanshi Vakta calls herself an I/O psychologist by background, photographer by instinct. Her practice traces architecture, abstract street scenes, and the places she passes through while traveling, twenty-seven countries so far. Two of her images, Four of a Kind and Brooklyn Majesty, were nominated for the 2025 World Photo Annual, and a third, The Escape Plan, earned an honorable mention in that year's Color Photography Contest. Finding Home, her first solo show, gathers a set of her photographs around one idea: what makes a place feel like somewhere you belong.
