Chloé Caillet is a DJ and musician in Brooklyn, NY. Trained on keys and bass, she mixes records in key, building chords on the fly, drawing from psychedelic rock, jazz improvisation, and the peak era of French touch and downtown electronic music.
Trained on keys and bass in Parisian psychedelic rock outfit The Clockwork, Chloé Caillet carried those harmonic instincts through jazz improvisation and into the DJ booth: where she mixes in key, building chords in fifths and thirds on the fly. Raised across Paris, Bristol, and New York, she arrived at dance music through Ed Banger's peak era and the DFA-era downtown scene, eventually becoming a regular presence at DC-10/Circo Loco in Ibiza. Her sets reach for a pre-smartphone rave logic: full presence, no mediation, just the floor. SMIILE (the queer club night and record label she launched in 2023) makes that philosophy structural: no VIP, no tables, community first. Everything she does keeps asking the same question: what does it feel like when a room decides, together, to disappear into sound?
